CONTRACT
After the design of your pool is complete and all options have been considered, we will draft a contract encompassing these choices and outlining our payment schedule.

PERMITTING
At contract signing we will prepare forms for you to sign authorizing us to permit the project on your behalf. Typical permitting times vary from a few days to several weeks depending on the city involved and the time of year.

HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
We have most homeowner association's submittal forms on file. If you live in a new neighborhood, we may need your help in obtaining the required forms and contact numbers. We will prepare the plans and fill out the forms for you to sign. Please note that some cities will not issue a building permit until the HOA has approved your plans. Most HOA's will send a letter of approval or rejection directly to you, the homeowner. Please inform Pineloch Pool Construction when you receive your letter. NOTICE: Some HOA's meet only once a month, please stay informed of the meeting time and date so we can submit plans in a timely manner.

MATERIALS SELECTION
Our showroom has the latest in material choices. We continually research new products in order to keep our selections updated. The sooner you can decide on your materials the better. We recommend that materials be selected before construction begins.

STAKEOUT
Our construction team will stakeout the pool in your yard and prepare the access path. Don't worry if the pool looks smaller than you expected, this is a normal response. If you have any final concerns about location, this is the time to address them.

DIG / EXCAVATION
The excavation of your pool usually starts early in the day. In most cases the dig crew will be finished the same day. We use a rubber-tired "Bobcat" machine to excavate the pool.

STEEL INSTALLATION
Steel reinforcing bars (rebar) are installed, again usually in one day. In some cases steel may be installed the same day as the pool is excavated.

ROUGH PLUMBING
Rough pluming, or "stub out" is done immediately following steel installation. This entails the installation of the main drains, skimmers, light niches, return line "stubs", and pre-plumbing of raised spas.

GUNITE INSTALLATION
Gunite crews install a pneumatically applied concrete/sand mixture. This is the shell or foundation from which your pool is constructed. Again, gunite for most pools can be shot in one day. This usually means an early morning start time. Please be aware that gunite compressor trucks are noisy, so warn your neighbors. These guys truly are craftsmen, so if you want to see some artisans at work, be home to watch the gunite installation. After gunite installation, the pool will need to be watered down 3 times a day for 7 days and we may need your help to do that.

EQUIPMENT SET / FINAL POOL PLUMBING
During this phase, our crews will deliver and set your pool equipment at the agreed upon pad location. Our pool plumbers will follow tying the "stub out" to the pool equipment.

ELECTRICAL / MASTER PLUMBER
The electrician follows the pool plumbers in order to ground your pool. A grounding wire tied into your pool's rebar prevents electrical strikes from damaging your pool shell. The electrician also installs your electrical sub-feed panel and wires up your pumps and heater. In some instances the electrician will ground the pool one day and return later for the equipment connections. The master plumber is responsible for installing a p-trap for your backwash line, the gas connections to your heater, and a vacuum breaker for your fill line. NOTE: If you have a heater installed, the gas line will be shut off during installation, and we will need access to your home to relight your pilot lights.

TILE AND COPING INSTALLATION
Your pre-selected tile and coping choices will be delivered to the job site and our crews will begin the installation. This is another critical part of construction in that the tile and coping is what is exposed and seen. We take pride in the crews we select for your tile and coping installation. By using the very best and most accomplished installers, you can be assured of a beautiful pool.

DECKING INSTALLATION
Your pre-selected decking material will be delivered to the job site and our crews will begin the installation. If we have been contracted to handle your drainage system, we will install the majority of the system at this time. In addition, if your landscaping or irrigation company needs to pre-run lines, we will give them adequate time and warning to do so.

INTERIOR FINISHING / FILL POOL
After deck installation, our crews will prepare the pool for final finishing. The plaster crews will install your selected finish to the interior of the pool shell. The pool finish serves to waterproof the shell and to make it comfortable and useable for you. Immediately after finish installation, we will begin to fill the pool. Our crews will have delivered a portable filter to eliminate staining caused by your fill water. Depending on water pressure, the pool may fill somewhere between a half a day to two days. It is critical to allow the pool to fill from the floor up. Please leave hoses as positioned by our crews and continue to fill until it reaches halfway up the tile.
NOTE: Inform your utility company that you have filled a pool, so that you wont be overcharged for your sewer usage
..

STARTUP PROCEDURES
Depending on your choice of interior finish, the startup may take anywhere from a few days up to a full week. We will charge your filter, balance your water chemistry, verify that all equipment is working, and remove finishing dust from the pool floor and walls. Some companies fill your pool and leave the rest to you. Pineloch Pool Construction is committed to your project from start to splash.

CUSTOMER WALK-THROUGH / ORIENTATION
We will contact you and set a time for an orientation appointment. We will walk you through every aspect of maintaining your pool, equipment, and chemistry.
